Unlike its previous years in IMSA, marked in particular by two consecutive victories at the 24 Hours of Daytona, during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, the Meyer Shank Racing team will not race with the pink color this season.
Both cars will use a predominantly white livery, but the rest of the decoration varies between the cars. The #60 will be recognizable by its blue color, while the #93 completes its decoration with black and red. The choice of these two colors for the latter corresponds to a partnership signed between Honda Racing Corporation USA and Philipps 66 Lubricants, a company specialized in fuels and lubricants, as its name suggests.
« We are delighted to partner with Phillips 66 Lubricants, a world-class company, says David Salters, president of Honda Racing Corporation USA). This collaboration allows us to further develop our people and technology in a new era of operation of our ARX-06 electric race car. We are excited to work with Phillips 66 Lubricants and use our cutting-edge Acura ARX-06 electric race car as an agile test bed for the best innovations. Most importantly, this partnership helps us develop new skills and business opportunities within HRC US and our HRC US New Business division. »
Both Acuras will sport these new liveries for the first time in competition at the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 25-26). The No. 60 will be driven by Tom Blomqvist, Colin Braun, Scott Dixon and Felix Rosenqvist. As for the No. 93, the quartet for the Florida classic will be formed by Renger van der Zande, Nick Yelloly, Alex Palou and Kaku Ohta.
