Nico Müller will finally take the wheel of the Porsche 963 in the race. The Swiss, recruited as an official Porsche driver last August, will dispute the 12 hours from Sebring (Florida) on March 15 with the private JDC-Miller Motorsports team, alongside Gianmaria Bruni and Tijmen van der Helm. The 33-year-old driver will therefore be competing in his first race in the premier class of theIMSA, the GTP, which had only competed in the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2022, in LM P2 with High Class Racing.

The ex-pilot Peugeot will therefore imitate his friend Formula E, Pascal Wehrlein, with a first performance in IMSA aboard the Porsche 963 of the JDC-Miller Motorsports team, dressed all in yellow. The two men are in the running to compete in the 24H of Le Mans on the third Porsche entered in La Sarthe, alongside Felipe Nasr and Nick Tandy. This race at Sebring could therefore be decisive for participation in Le Mans.
“First of all, I would like to thank JDC-Miller MotorSports, Porsche and my Formula E team, Andretti, who made this last-minute project possible, Nico Müller emphasizes. I am looking forward to my first laps behind the wheel of the 963 and to participating for the first time in this prestigious race: the 12 Hours of Sebring. It is great to be back in IMSA. I have already raced at Sebring when the WEC was part of the “Super Sebring” weekend. I loved following IMSA during the 12 hours. It is the toughest race on the calendar and I am convinced that with JDC-Miller MotorSports, Gimmi and Tijmen, we will all bring our experience. This solid base will accelerate my learning process of the 963. Another good omen: yellow is one of my favorite racing colors!”
