The third session of the Petit Free Practices Le Mans at Road Atlanta was dominated by the French trio of the No. 5 Mustang Sampling / JDC-Miller MotorSports Cadillac DPi. Tristan Vautier, Loïc duval and Sébastien Bourdais thus rose to the top of the ranking with a 1:10.796. They beat another Cadillac, the No. 55 of van der Zande, Magnussen and Dixon at 0.026, and the No. 55 Mazda DPi of Jarvis, Tincknell, Bornarito at 0.631.
In LM P2, the No. 07 Oreca 52 (Keating, Jensen, Huffaker) in the colors of PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports set the best time in its category in 1:11.589 ahead of that of Era Motorsport (Merriman, Tilley, Dalziel) in 1:12.323 and Tower Motorsport (Farano, Aubry, French) in 1:13.486.
Performance Tech Motorsports (Goldburg, Lindh, Jakobsen) took the lead in LM P3 in a Ligier JS P320 with a time of 1:16.605, ahead of Core Autosport (Bennett, Kurtz, Braun) in 1:16.781 and Riley Motorsports n°91 (Cox, Murry, Bleekmolen) in 1:16:969.
Finally, in GT, Kévin Estre, Michael Christensen and Frédéric Makowiecki achieved the reference time in GTLM with the Porsche 911 RSR – 19 from WeatherTech Racing (1:17.253). In GTD, Kirkwood, Telitz and Hawkswarth from VASSER SULLIVAN set a 1:20.342 with their Lexus RC F GT3.
