Petit Le Mans – Magnussen withdraws and replaced

While he was due to start from fourth position at the wheel of the No. 01 Cadillac Dpi-VR with Renger Van Der Zande and Scott Dixon, Kevin Magnussen is forced to give up on the 24th edition of Le Petit Le Mans, which takes place this weekend at Road Atlanta. According to the press release published by Chip Ganassi Racing, the Dane is ill. To replace him during the final of theIMSA, the team called on Earl Bamber to complete the crew of the No. 01.

“First of all, I hope Kevin is okay because I know he's not feeling very well, said Earl Bamber. TThis all happened in the last hour. I have to thank the Chip Ganassi Racing team for trusting me to get in the car. We did a test here a few weeks ago, so I'm familiar with the Cadillac DPi-VR on this track. We'll see what the day brings us. The most important thing is to try to get a good result and let the main drivers do their job in the end.”
