There were three Ford GTs at the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, none will end. The last one on the track, the n°60 of Matech Competition which was then driven Romain Grosjean died due to engine failure.

The sanction is the same for the Rebellion Racing team (LMP1). After Jean-Christophe Boullion went off the track, the Swiss team lost its second car, number 12, due to mechanical failure in the transmission.
