No, Porsche has not yet completed preparations for his return to WEC. While the first round of the season will take place in just over a fortnight, the German manufacturer has decided to run its two 963s one last time on European soil before heading to Sebring (March 17).

Porsche set up its base camp near Portimão (Portugal) this Monday where its two crews are preparing for the first round in Florida. On site are André Lotterer, Kevin Estre, Laurens Vanthoor, Michael Christensen, Dane Cameron and Frédéric Makowiecki.

In the United States, the schedule will be very busy for Porsche. In addition to the opening round of the 2023 WEC season, the Penske Motorsport-backed manufacturer will contest the 12 Hours of Sebring in IMSA the next day.
