Sebring – Ferrari on GT pole

Qualifying for the 12 Hours of Sebring is separated into four sections of 15 minutes each. The GTCs opened the way at 1:15 a.m. (local time), followed by the GTs.

At the wheel of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Dempsey Del Piero Racing qu’il partage avec Patrick Dempsey et Joe Foster, Andy Lally s’est hissé en pole position du GTC grâce à un chrono de 2’05 »446. Il devance Jeroen Bleekemolen (Alex Job Racing) et Sean Edwards (NGT Motorpsort), qui ont tous deux réalisé un 2’05 »747. Le top 5 est complété par Spencer Pumpelly (Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Flying Lizard Motorsports n°45) et Damien Faulkner (Porsche 911 GT3 Cup TRG n°66).

In GT, it is Ferrari who came out the best. The No. 458 Risi Competizione 62 Italia, with Gianmaria Bruni, completed a lap in 1'58"815. The Italian is ahead of Oliver Gavin's Corvette C0 ZR12 by 6 and 1Aston Martin V8 Vantage by Stefan Mücke. Antonio Garcia (Corvette n°3) and Pedro Lamy (Aston Martin n°007) complete the top 5. With eight cars within the same second, the race promises.
