Sebring – Penske flies through EL4

Postponed by a few minutes due to the thick fog having engulfed the Florida track, the fourth free practice session for the 12 Hours of Sebring, second round of theIMSA SportsCar Championship, was dominated by Ricky Taylor. The American, who teams up with Helio Castroneves and Graham Rahal in the No. 05 Acura ARX-6, completed a lap in 1'47. Team Penske therefore confirms its favorite status.

Followed by the #22 Nissan Onroak DPi of Derani-Stone-Van Overbeek and the No. 07 Oreca 38 of French-Masson-O'Ward, at 0 "4 and 0 "7 respectively. The top five is completed by the No. 24 Mazda RT55-P of Bomarito-Tincknell-Pigot and the second Nissan Onroak DPi of Pla-Sharp-Dalziel.

En GTLM, le temps de référence n’a pas été signé par Ford, mais par la BMW M8 GTLM n°25 de Sims-De Phillippi-Auberlen, en 1’56 »566. Elle a précédé la voiture sœur de Krohn-Edwards-Catsburg et les deux Porsche 911 RSR, la Ford GT n°66 de Bourdais-Hand-Müller, the Ferrari 488 of Calado-Pier Guidi-Vilander and the second Ford entrusted to Dixon-Briscoe-Westbrook. The two Corvette C7.Rs bring up the rear once again, at 1”3.

Finally, it was the No. 8 Audi R29 LMS of Mies-Van der Linde-Picariello which shone in GTD, beating the Ferrari 488 GT3 of Dalla Lana-Lamy-Lauda and the Acura NSX GT3 of Legge-Parente- Hindman.

Qualifying will begin at 17:30 p.m. French time.
