Absent from the peloton IMSA since the 12 2017 Hours of Sebring, after a final full campaign in 2016 in the Prototype Challenge category, the Starworks Motorsport team will return to the American series in 2019, but in the GTD category.
Peter Baron's team will field a 8 Audi R3 LMS GT2016 chassis, converted to a 2019 version thanks to the new kit offered by Audi Sport Customer Racing, which will notably be entrusted to Ryan Dalziel. The American previously competed in DPi with Extreme Speed Motorsports and will find a team he used almost continuously between 2005 and 2013.
Dalziel will be supported in the endurance races by Parker Chase, his teammate in SprintX in the Pirelli World Challenge this year. The two men won the GT Pro-Am title there with the R8 LMS chassis which will be operated by Starworks Motorsport in 2019.
