After five Free Practice sessions, dominated by the Acura ARX-06 of Meyer Shank Racing before a final session disrupted by bad weather, it is finally time for the first timed explanation for the new GTPs. This Sunday, the Roar before Daytona is being held, the qualifying event prior to the Florida double round of the clock.
For 61e edition of the 24 Hours of Daytona, theIMSA has in fact announced the return to a so-called “traditional” qualifying format already used during all the other rounds of the season. Thus, competitors will have to achieve the best possible time in a 15 or 20 minute slot depending on the category. Please note that they will be separated by class.
Scheduled for 19:25 p.m. (French time), qualifying was finally postponed by twenty minutes in order to give an additional 15-minute practice session to the GTPs.
See you at 19:45 p.m. (French time) for the start of qualifying for the 24 2023 Hours of Daytona. Follow live video HERE.
