Ultimate launches into WEC
After a 3rd place in Pro-Am in European LMP2 Le Mans Series in 2021, the Ultimate team has decided to take a step forward in 2022. The Breton structure has indeed confirmed its commitment in WEC next season still in LMP2 with an Oreca 07.
In 2022, the Oreca 07 will once again be entrusted to the Lahaye brothers, Matthieu and Jean-Baptiste, founders of the team in 2013, and their usual partner, François Heriau. “ Their participation is nevertheless subject to the approval of the WEC Selection Committee, » specifies Ultimate, however. The prototype will be managed by Tech1 Racing as in 2021 and entered in the Pro-Am category.
« We are excited to start this new program together, savors Jean-Baptiste Lahaye. Our goal is to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans next year.
