This feature film looks back on the unprecedented participation of NASCAR French 24 Hours of Le Mans 2023, as part of the centenary of the famous endurance race.
Originally titled Garage 56, the film follows the entry of the Chevrolet Camaro prepared by the Hendrick Motorsports team. This project was spearheaded by Jim France, president and CEO of the NASCAR, with the aim of pitting a typically American car against European prototypes on one of the most demanding circuits in the world.
For 18 months, teams worked to adapt a car designed for American ovals so that it could compete in the 24-hour race on the famous Sarthe circuit. Three experienced drivers—Jenson Button, Jimmie Johnson, and Mike Rockenfeller—were chosen to lead this project on the track.
Directed by Brad Lockhart, the documentary is produced by NASCAR Studios and Griffin Van Malssen, with Jeff Gordon, Tim Clark, John Dahl, Amy Anderson, Tally Hair and Matt Summers producing.
The film will be available in more than 240 countries and territories through Prime, which also includes other entertainment and delivery services.
