Sean Rayhall, partnered with Luiz Diaz in the 09Star Motorsports Oreca FLM8, took pole position for the first race of the PC category at Virginia International Raceway, counting for the United Sportscar Championship. The two drivers are ahead of the duo from Mathiasen Motorsports, Frankie Montecalvo and Gunnar Jeannette and Duncan Ende – Bruno Junqueira, resident of RSR Racing. The first race will take place in the evening in France and will determine the starting grid for the second round run tomorrow.
