USC – Action Express starts well

The No. 5 Corvette DP from the Action Express Racing team, driven by the trio Joao Barbosa – Christian Fittipaldi – Sébastien Bourdais, took the lead during the first free practice session of the 12 Hours of Sebring in Florida, second round of the 2015 United Sportscar Championship. Barbosa was the fastest with a time established in 1'52″485, and ahead of two Ligier JS P2s, the #60 from Michael Shank Racing of Oswaldo Negri and the #57 from Krohn Racing driven by Nic Jonsson and where we will find the Frenchman Olivier Pla.

En PC, l’Oreca FLM09 n°54 du CORE Autosport de Colin Braun a dominé la séance. En GTLM, la BMW Z4 n°25 du Team RLL de Dirk Werner a imprimé le tempo devant la Porsche 911 n°911 du Porsche North America du trio Pilet – Tandy – Lietz. La 911 du Team Falken de Sellers – Long – Henzler prend la 3e place devant la première Corvette C7.R de Briscoe – Magnussen –Garcia. In GTD, the Porsche 911 GT America of Team Seattle / Alex Job Racing driven by Mario Farnbacher got off to a good start to the weekend by beating the sister car of Spencer Pumpelly's Park Place Motorsports.

Note that Patrick Dempsey is not lined up this weekend in the Dempsey/Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 entered in GTD, replaced by Costa Rican Emilio Valverde.
