The No. 5 Action Express Racing Corvette DP, driven by the duo Joao Barbosa – Christian Fittipaldi, won the Brickyard Grand Prix of Indianapolis, in the United Sportscar Championship last night. The duettists, already winners of the 24 Hours of Daytona, beat the No. 01 Riley-Ford DP of Team Ganassi of Scott Pruett and Sage Karam, forced to stop eight laps from the finish, like several competitors, for a supplement in gasoline. The Spirit of Daytona and the Richard Westbrook – Michael Valiente crew placed the No. 90 Corvette DP in 3rd position.
In LM PC, it is the driver IndyCar Jack Hawksworth, associated with Chris Cumming who won the Oreca FLM09 of RSR Racing ahead of the other PC of the team led by Bruno Junqueira and Duncan Ende. Overall category leaders Jon Bennett and Colin Braun took third place in their Core Autosport Oreca FLM09.
En GT, c’est la Viper n°93 du SRT Motorsports de Kuno Wittmener et Jonathan Bomarito qui l’emporte en GTLM devant la Ferrari 458 Italia des polemen Giancarlo Fisichella et Pierre Kaffer (Risi Competizione) et la Porsche 911 RSR de Patrick Long et Michael Christensen (Porsche North America). En GTD, la victoire est revenue à la Ferrari 458 Italia de la Team Corsa of Westphal and Balzan.
