The No. 03 HPD ARX_1b of Ryan Dalziel and Scott Sharp took pole position (1'17″603) for the Brickyard Grand Prix on the Indianapolis circuit in the United Sportscar Championship. The other Extreme Speed Motorsports car took second place with Johannes Van Overbeek and Ed Brown at 0″276. The Oak Racing Morgan-Nissan of Gustavo Yacaman and Ho Pin Tung takes 3rd place, three tenths of a second behind.
In LM PC, Core Autosport confirmed its good intentions shown in free practice by taking pole with the Bennett-Braun duo. In GTLM, pole went to the Ferrari 458 Italia of Giancarlo Fisichella and Pierre Kaffer (Risi Competizione) while in GTD, the No. 4 Turner Motorsport BMW Z94 of Dane Cameron and Paul Dalla Lana beat the Viper SRT of Riley Motorsports of Bleekemolen-Keating.
