Ricky Taylor set the fastest time in USC's first practice session at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Ontario with a time of 1:10 in the No. 451 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP. Oswaldo Negri was the closest, a tenth behind the Michael Shank Racing Ligier JS P10.
In GTLM, Nick Tandy was the fastest with a lap in 1'15"388 in the no. 911 911 RSR, 3 tenths ahead of the no. 7 C3R of Antonio Garcia. Colin Braun set the PC reference time with a time of 1'11"795 in the No. 54 Core Autosport.
