Followed respectively at 0 »327 and 0 »487 the No. 02 Riley-Ford of Chip Ganassi Racing (Dixon-Kanaan-Larson-McMurray) and the No. 5 Corvette DP (Barbosa-Bourdais-Fittipaldi) fielded by Action Express Racing.
The best time in the GTLM is to be credited to the Ferrari 458 Italia of Risi Competitizione (Beretta-Rigon-Fisichella-Kaffer) in 1'44 »572. The Italian was ahead of the No. 7 Corvette C3.R (Garcia-Magnussen-Briscoe) et la Porsche 911 RSR n°911 (Bergmeister-Makowiecki-Bamber-Christensen).
The No. 09 Oreca 11 FLM (Cumming-Hawksworth-Junqueira-Menezes) and the No. 911 Porsche 81 GT America (Faulkner-Germaziak-Skeen-Butcher-Avenatti) took the lead in PC and GTD.
