The No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley-Ford DP driven by Scott Dixon regained the lead of the 24 Hours of Daytona in Florida ahead of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP of Jordan Taylor. The second Riley-Ford from Ganassi is in third position with Sage Karam. John Pew, driving the #2 Michael Shank Racing Ligier JS P60 – Honda, went off the track just after a restart, and was forced to return to the pits. The car that started from pole is currently sixth.
In GTLM, Jan Magnussen domine à bord de la Corvette C7.R n°3, alors que la voiture soeur est repassée par les stands pour changer un pneu arrière. Augusto Farfus (BMW) et Patrick Long (Porsche Falken) suivent la Corvette de tête.
