The battle at the top of the 24 Hours of Daytona continues between Ganassi and Wayne Taylor Racing. Max Angelelli has just taken control of the race at the wheel of the Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP just ahead of Jamie McMurray (Riley-Ford n°02). Joey Hand places the second Chip Ganassi Racing car around fifteen seconds behind.
In GTLM, Jan Magnussen also returned to the front with the No. 7 Corvette C3.R ahead of the BMW Z4 of Dirk Werner's Team RLL. Tommy Milner is 3rd in the second official Corvette. In the Prototype Challenge, no change with the domination of the No. 54 from Core Autosport. The GTD is currently led by the #458 Ferrari 64 Italia of Team Corsa.
