Seriously damaged in Jan's off-track accident Magnussen last Thursday at 24 Hours of Le Mans, having resulted in the withdrawal of the crew of the No. 63, the chassis of the official Corvette C7.R also entered in the United Sportscar Championship will be replaced at Watkins Glen (New York) by that of the car entered last week in the Sarthe by the French stable Larbre Compétition. Jack Leconte's team will return to its mount for the 6 Hours of the Nürburgring at the end of August as part of the WEC.
