Oak Racing's Nissan-powered Morgan confirmed its good disposition on the Canadian circuit of Motorsport Park by dominating the second free practice session of the eighth round of the United Sportscar Championship. It was the Action Express Racing Corvette DP of Barbosa – Fittipaldi which was closest to the Yacaman – Pla duo.
In GTLM, Jan's Corvette C7.R Magnussen et Antonio Garcia ont dominé la session, alors que c’est le Français Kevin Estre, aligné sur la Porsche 911 GT America du Park Place Motorsports qui s’est montré le plus rapide en GTD.
