The No. 2 Oak Racing Morgan-Nissan LM P42, driven by the duo Gustavo Yacaman – Olivier Pla, took pole position for the Canadian meeting at Motorsport Park in Ontario. With a time of 1'09″167, Yacaman beat the #03 Extreme Speed Motorsports HPD ARX-1b of Ryan Dalziel – Scott Sharp and the #90 Spirit of Daytona Corvette DP of Richard Westbrook – Michael Valiente.
In GTLM, it is the SRT Motorsports Viper GTS-R of Kuno Wittmer – Jonathan Bomarito which will start from pole in front of the Corvette C7.R of Antonio Garcia and Jan Magnussen. In GTD, another Viper, entrusted to Jeroen Bleekemolen and Ben Keating, will start on pole.
