For the first time in history, cars in the ?DP? (Daytona Prototype) were able to compete against the LMP2 cars on the Sebring circuit. During this first day, the rain came making it impossible to compare the Coyote of ActionExpress, which set the best time with Joao Barbosa (1:53.266), and the HPD of the Extreme Speed team.
In GTLM the teams Aston Martin et Ferrari The official cars were ahead of the Team RLL BMW and the official Viper.
In GT Daytona, Benoit Tréluyer drove alongside Marco Bonanomi at the wheel of the Miller team's Audi R8. The best time was set by Toni Vilander in the #63 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari (2:05.058).
