Disaster for Cadillac at the 1812 km of Qatar. While the two prototypes of the American manufacturer had settled into the first two places of the event by taking advantage of a Virtual Safety Car, Alex Lynn hit his teammate Jenson Button under Safety Car mode as the latter was about to move aside. Badly damaged, the two cars of the Detroit (Michigan) firm returned to the pits for repairs. They left far behind, leaving the lead to the three Ferrari. On the radio, Alex Lynn blamed the world champion Formula 1 2009, which is far from obvious from the images.
