“What a great victory! Milner rejoiced after the race. I had a pretty bad start and was in the wrong engine mode. It was my fault and it allowed Jordan to come back. With the conditions as they were, I just went a little wide into turn 1 and we lost first place. From there it was just a case of trying to save as much fuel as possible. When the Porsche stopped that early, the plan for us was to try to cover it in case a yellow flag came out. Today we really needed a little luck and we got it. »

“We also had this guy next to me (Nick Tandy) in the car at the finish, continues the Washingtonian. He did an absolutely incredible job. He ran really hard and I ran pretty hard for a really good show! I'm super happy for our entire team – another win for the number 4 Corvette and a new one-two finish for Corvette Racing. It really didn't look like it was going to be that way for us this weekend, but with a lot of hard work, some good racing and here we are in the top two places again. It’s great, it’s good for the team and I’m happy with these trophies. »
