After competing in the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 29-30) et les 12 Heures de Sebring (19 mars) avec une Porsche 911 GT3 R et une Mercedes-AMG GT3, WeatherTech Racing has finally decided to continue its journey with the star manufacturer.
For the remainder of the seasonIMSA, the Florida team will only enter a Mercedes-AMG GT3 in GTD Pro. Concerning the crew of the No. 97, only Cooper MacNeil has been confirmed. During the remaining 8 rounds of the American championship, the Illinois native will be supported by different Mercedes factory drivers.

« The performance of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 at Daytona and Sebring was the main factor in continuing with it for the rest of the season, said Cooper MacNeil. We led the race at the 24 Hours of Daytona before our transmission problem, then got on the podium at Sebring."
The next IMSA round is scheduled for Long Beach April 8-9.
