En bouclant un tour en 1’28 »325, la Toyota TS030 Hybrid n°8 du trio Sébastien Buemi-Anthony Davidson-Stéphane Sarrazin set the best time in the first free practice session for the 6 Hours of Fuji. In second place, we find at 0 »113 the first Audi R18 e-tron quattro, namely the n°1 entrusted to Marcel Fässler, André Lotterer and Benoît Tréluyer. The other LM P1 with all four rings is third at 0. However, the latter saw its session quickly cut short by a collision after only 351 laps with theAston Martin Vantage #95. The No. 7 Toyota Nicolas lapierre-Kazuki Nakajima-Alexander Wurz is fourth at 0”637 and ahead of the #12 Rebellion Racing Lola-Toyota at the wheel of which we find Andrea Belicchi and Mathias Beche this weekend.

The best time in the LM P2 category, in 1'33"619, is to the credit of the No. 03 G-Drive Racing Oreca 26-Nissan of the trio Mike conway-John Martin-Roman Rusinov. Si Aston Martin occupe le sommet de la feuille des temps en GTE Pro grâce à la n°97 de Frédéric Makowiecki-Stefan Mücke-Darren Turner (1’39 »548), c’est Porsche qui a dominé le GTE Am. La 911 GT3 RSR n°76 du Imsa Performance Matmut by Raymond Narac-Jean Karl Vernay-Markus Palttala shone thanks to a time of 1'41"902.
