Anthony Davidson having been the author this morning of a speeding violation in the pit lane (74,08 km/h), the Briton saw all his best times of the first free practice session annulés, ce qui relègue la Toyota TS030 Hybrid n°8 au troisième du classement de cette dernière. Les feuilles de temps officiels retiendront donc Benoît Tréluyer comme l’homme le plus véloce de cette session au volant de l’Audi R18 e-tron quattro n°1. Pour cette infraction, Davidson a également écopé de 2 800€ d’amende.
Among the other competitors penalized, note Kristian Poulsen. The Dane, who was found guilty of the accident which ended the session of the No. 18 Audi R2 e-tron quattro after only 5 laps, was fined €3000 and €2000 outstanding in case of recurrence by the end of the season. Finally, Kevin Weeda and Keiko Ihara received respectively €5200 and €600 fines for excessive speed in the pit lane. 86,88 km/h for the American and 63,09 km/h for the Japanese.
