Alexander Wurz a réalisé le meilleur chrono du warm-up des 6 Heures de Silverstone. Au volant de la Toyota TS030 qu’il partage avec Nicolas lapierre et Kazuki Nakajima, the Austrian completed a lap of the British circuit in 1'47"398. He is ahead of the No. 18 Audi R1 e-tron quattro at the wheel of which was André Lotterer. The #12 Rebellion Racing Lola B60/13-Toyota completes the top three, ahead of its sister car and the #18 R2 ultra. On board the latter, Allan McNish went head to tail, ending up in a gravel trap.
The best times in the LM P2, GTE Pro and GTE Am categories are respectively to the credit of the Morgan-Nissan Oak Racing n°24, of theAston Martin V8 Vantage n°97 et de la Porsche 997 GT3 RSR Felbermayr Proton n°88.
Marred by several incidents, the warm-up was very short. The competitors who rode the most were only able to complete 10 laps. Meet at 13 p.m. (French time) for the start of the 6 Hours of Silverstone, fourth round of the WEC 2012.
