At the wheel of a Ferrari F430 aging compared to the new F458 Italia, Gianmaria Bruni managed to win at the top of the GTE category in 2'01"561. The AF Corse driver, who shares the wheel with Giancarlo Fisichella and Pierre Kaffer, is ahead of the No. 6 Corvette C1 ZR04 of the Oliver Gavin-Jan trio. Magnussen-Richard Westbrook and the #55 BMW of Augusto Farfus, Bill Auberlen and Dirk Werner.

“It’s a very good day for us,” says Gianmaria Bruni. The car and the Michelin tires worked perfectly. In free practice, every time we passed a set of new tires, there was a red flag! But I knew we had a good car. We know the car very well and we have much more data than the teams fielding the new Ferrari F458. AF Corse was unable to bring the new car because we had the tests last week at the Paul Ricard circuit, which is why we entered the old one. We had no other choice, but we knew we could still be competitive. »

Currently on newsstands is the AUTOhebdo ILMC Guide, with all the teams, all the cars, all the drivers, the circuits, the issues, etc.
