The third free practice session for the 6 Hours of Mexico was dominated by the Porsche 919 Hybrid n°1 of Jani-Lotterer-Tandy, which covered the track in 1'25"678. But officially, it's Toyota n ° 8 of Buemi-Davidson-Nakajima, at 0, who holds the best time of this session, the German's time having been canceled for excessive speed in the pits. The top three is completed by the No. 1 Toyota TS050 Hybrid.
The #37 Oreca of Jackie Chan DC Racing (Brundle-Cheng-Gommendy), the Ferrari 488 GTE n°71 from AF Corse (Bird-Rigon) and the Porsche 911 RSR n°86 (Barker-Wainwright-Foster) set the best times in the LM P2, GTE Pro and GTE Am categories.
