McLaren confirmed by a press release to authorize Fernando Alonso to dispute the WEC 2018 and 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Toyota Gazoo Racing, un accord ayant été trouvé avec la marque japonaise.
The two-time Spanish world champion will, however, not compete in the Fuji round in Japan on October 21, due to a conflict of dates with the United States Grand Prix in F1, the discipline remaining the priority of McLaren and Alonso. More information to follow.
