The major news of this Wednesday, November 13 is the return of Peugeot Sport in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2022 and 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2023. Those responsible for theEndurance world were quick to react with joy.

Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO): “Today's announcement is doubly exciting: it symbolizes both the arrival of a new competitor in the Hypercar category which will govern the FIA World Endurance Championship from next season, as well as the return of 'a benchmark brand in Endurance. Peugeot has made its mark in the history of endurance and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, certainly by winning the event, but also by producing always spectacular machines, particularly appreciated by spectators. I can’t wait to see the French racing car that will take over from the winning 905 and 908.”

Gérard Neveu, Director General of the WEC: “This is very big news for everyone involved in endurance. The arrival of Peugeot in the new Hypercar category, alongsideAston Martin et Toyota, ne pourra qu’inciter d’autres constructeurs à s’engager dans la catégorie reine en endurance. Nous sommes vraiment heureux et honorés d’accueillir à nouveau un concurrent et une marque à l’histoire si riche de succès qui est celle de Peugeot. »
