The qualifying session for the 1000 km of Spa-Francorchamps ended prematurely following the accident suffered by Matthieu Lahaye (Oak Pescarolo-Judd n°15). Peugeot did not have time to set a significant time and the first 908 will only start in 13th position (the no. 7 of Marc Gené). No. 9 of simon pagenaud was only able to set the 18th time while the No. 8 of Stéphane Sarrazin did not even set a time.

Audi logically places its three R18 TDIs in the first three places in order of their number, the n°1 of Timo Bernhard taking pole thanks to a lap completed in 2'01"502. Behind the three German coupes, we find the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP n°10 from Oreca driven by Nicolas lapierre. The Pescarolo Judd of Christophe Tinseau is 7th behind the Zytec 09SC Quifel ASM Team n°20 of Olivier Pla.
