The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile has unveiled the categorization of drivers for the 2020 campaign. This system is notably used to determine certain crews in various championship categories (WEC, GT World Challenge…).

Among the main changes, note the transition from Silver to Gold status of Gabriel Aubry (Jackie Chan DC Racing driver in LM P2 in WEC), Nico Bastian (AKKA-ASP resident in GT World Challenge), Ukyo Sasahara (winner of the GT Cup at the FIA Motorsport Games and champion F3 Asia), Sheldon van der Linde (BMW driver in DTM) or Job van Uitert (resident of G-Drive Racing in ELMS).

Go from Gold to Platinum Kelvin van der Linde (Audi Sport driver) and Nyck de Vries (FIA champion F2 and resident of Mercedes en Formula E).

Others, however, see their status degraded: Stéphane Ortelli, Jörg Muller, or Nelson Panciatici (Platinum to Gold). All categorizations can be discovered at this address.
