The Automobile Club de l?Ouest presented this morning the list of guests for the next 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 2011 edition promises to be interesting, with ACO Sports Director Vincent Beaumesnil not hesitating to use superlatives to describe the level of entrants in the double round of the clock at Sarthe this year.

“The field assembled this year is undoubtedly one of the finest in the history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans due to its homogeneity and the quality of the entries, affirms the latter on the official website of the event. There are two factors explaining this state of affairs. First of all, all the teams entered at Le Mans are also entered in the various Le Mans-branded competitions: the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, first and foremost, but also the American Le Mans Series and the Le Mans Series. These are therefore high-level teams experienced in endurance competitions. The second is the quality of the list of drivers. There are many former winners and boys alike who have demonstrated their talent in Formula 1. Finally, I would like to emphasize that the new regulations for the 24 Hours of Le Mans are a real success given the impressive number of new cars entered.”
