While Peugeot still has its four 908s at the head of qualifying, the track of 24 Hours of Le Mans currently offers satisfactory grip and the times achieved on Wednesday could be beaten. Thus, Allan McNish has just achieved the firm's best on the rings, in 3:22:176, less than a second behind the Peugeot Oreca. If Olivier Quesnel indicated this afternoon that the race for pole would not take place, he clarified this evening that the position of the Lion firm will be defended. So, if one of the Audi R15 TDIs takes the lead, the Peugeot drivers will have a window of three laps to set a time.
