Heavily damaged after leaving the track on Thursday in free practice, the Oreca n°17 and n°28 of IDEC SPORT will indeed be at the start of this 88th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Back in the pits, the two LM P2s spent several hours in the hands of the mechanics and were unable to participate in qualifying or night testing on Thursday. Despite everything, they were authorized by the commissioners to participate in the Le Mans double clock tour. The two IDEC SPORTs will still start with a penalty lap.

Thus, after the formation lap carried out behind the GTs, numbers 17 and 28 will have to return to the pit lane and wait one lap before leaving behind the entire peloton.
