Analysis of the performance of diesel prototypes and gasoline prototypes during the Sebring and Barcelona races revealed that an advantage remained for diesel engines.
In order to guarantee equivalence between the different engines, the ACO, in accordance with its commitments, has decided to impose the following adjustments on prototypes equipped with a diesel engine, from the Spa-Francorchamps race onwards:

> Reduction of the flow limiter orifice of the autonomous supply tank (the diameter of 38 mm, currently for diesel, increases to 33 mm, as for gasoline engines)
> Addition of a weight of 30 kg which must be made up of one or more weights sealed by the technical commissioners. Once this ballast(s) has been removed, the car must not weigh less than 900 kg.
