Events around the 24 2019 Hours of Le Mans

The towns located around the circuit also celebrate the 24 Hours of Le Mans. They organize events linked to the most famous endurance races. The 24 Hours Golf, vehicle exhibitions or the broadcast of the official film of the event on a giant screen, here is a review of the events organized around the race.

The 24 Hours of Golf 

The 24 2019 Hours Golf, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, now takes place the weekend before the 24 Hours of Le Mans, on June 8 and 9. They will open the week with activities around the circuit. The competition will begin on Friday June 7 afternoon with training. The start of the event will be given on Saturday June 8, 2019 at 13 p.m. 24 teams and 144 players will compete. Initiations, activities and golf demonstrations will also be organized. The 24 Hours Golf will end on Sunday just before the opening of the 24 Hours of Le Mans weigh-in on the Place de la République.

Les R’Hunaudières

For the fifth edition of the R'Hunaudières, the Twinning Committee and the municipality of Ruaudin decided to honor the "50s" with the first victories of Ferrari in 1949,Aston Martin in 1959 and the 100th anniversary of the birth of Shell.

Neuville in the race

Traders, craftsmen, businesses and the municipality of the commune of Neuville-sur-Sarthe located around twenty kilometers from the circuit offer to immerse themselves in the last edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans through the broadcast of the official film of the race on a giant screen. An exhibition of vehicles from the Lotus club and Auto Passion 72 from ACO members is also on the program. Note also the presence of a Ferrari Dino to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the prancing horse brand.

Arnage in the race

For the sixth consecutive year, the “Arnage dans la course” event will punctuate the Thursday of the big week of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This year, French elegance will be in the spotlight. 130 sports cars from all motorsport disciplines will be on display.

Classic British Welcome

The flagship event of the 24 Hours of Le Mans week, accessible to all, the Classic British Welcome in Saint-Saturnin, which will celebrate its 19th edition, will honor the British manufacturer Morgan. This year, the sponsor of the Classic British Welcome is Jacques Nicolet, director of Onroak Automotive.

The Mulsanne turn

This emblematic place on the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit will be in full swing. The Mulsanne cornering association has put together an attractive program for its ninth edition sponsored by Maxime Martin, Aston Martin Racing driver at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Aston Martin and Bentley will also be in the spotlight. Julien Canal, driver of Panis Barthez Competition will be present. Former drivers Lionel Robert, Jacky Haran, the three brothers, Jean-Louis, Jacky, and Marc Ravenel will come and share their experience of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. 800 collection and prestige vehicles will also be on display.
