Former pilot of Formula 1, Shinji Nakano will participate in his fifth 24 Hours of Le Mans. On this occasion he will drive an Oak Pescarolo-Judd LMP2 which he will share in particular with the Belgian Nicolas de Crem. And like many Japanese involved in motorsport, he will not fail to have a thought for the Japanese people who are currently going through a very difficult period.

?I haven?t raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans since 2008 and I?m really looking forward to returning to this race and the magnificent Sarthe circuit, He says. In addition, it is an honor and a privilege to be a member of the OAK Racing team, which has a great track record and already a lot of experience. As everyone knows, my country, Japan, suffered a devastating earthquake which caused terrible disasters and a large number of people still find themselves in a very difficult situation. I want to dedicate this race to the victims of this disaster by giving the best of myself at Le Mans. I hope this will give them even more strength and courage and help them in one way or another to get back on their feet quickly. »
