With one hour to go, the final victory is very uncertain. There Peugeot 908 HDI FAP contracted by ORECA and entrusted to Nicolas lapierre, Loïc duval and Olivier Panis, seems comfortably in the lead with more than a minute in advance. However, we should certainly not underestimate the HPD ARX-01e of Highcroft Racing (David Brabham / Marino Franchitti / simon pagenaud). And even less the No. 908 Peugeot 8 of the Montagny-Sarrazin-Lamy trio.
In LMP2, the die seems cast. The No. 26 ORECA-Nissan from the Signatech team (Soheil Ayari – Lucas Ordonez – Franck Mailleux) is now too far away to challenge the No. 5 Level 55 Motorsport Lola-Honda of Scott Tucker / Ryan Hunter-Reay / Luis Diaz.
In GTE, the #56 BMW of Andy Priaulx, Jörg Muller and Joey Hand now has a significant lead over the #6 Corvette C1ZR3 (Olivier Berreta / Tommy Milner / Antonio Garcia). The #55 BMW of Priaulx-Muller-Hand, at 1??6, is able to secure the double for the Bavarian firm.
