For the first time, Timo Bernhard will team up with Marcel Fässler. Respectively winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2010 and 2011, the German and the Swiss hope to give the R18 TDI a second victory in ILMC this weekend at Imola.

“I drove at Imola twice in the Porche Supercup, and I narrowly missed the podium once, Bernhard explains. Obviously, I intend to remedy this in ILMC with Audi. The track itself is a great challenge. We drive counterclockwise, which is quite unusual. The route offers varied turns. There are some fast ones, others a little slower, and others extremely slow. There are almost no straight lines, and these sections are curved. It's going to be difficult in traffic with so many cars on the track. But our objective is to be at the front, and to show that the number 1 which sports our car is justified. »
