Vatanen and Lavillenie offer track initiations at Le Mans

At the invitation of Frédéric Sausset, 1st quad amputee pilot 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ari Vatanen, world rally champion, four times winner of the Dakar and Renaud Lavillenie, Olympic champion pole vaulter and world record holder, who has a double entry in the 24 Heures Motos, offered track baptisms at Le Mans to disabled children .

“We won our challenge, comments Frédéric Sausset. I wanted the children to leave this day with a big smile, and that is the case. Thanks to Renaud Lavillenie and Ari Vatanen, two great champions, who allowed them to discover motorsport during these runs, and thanks to the ACO for its support. »

In treatment at L'Arche, a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation care center, these young adolescents discovered the Bugatti at full speed, for their greatest pleasure, but also the environment of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, by visiting the management of race, strategic point of the event.

Initially scheduled for this event, the nine-time world rally champion, Sébastien Loeb, retained by tests in Rallycross, wanted to send some surprises to the happy passengers of Frédéric Sausset, Ari Vatanen and even Renaud Lavillenie.
Frédéric Sausset's SRT41 association also presented a check to l'Arche for 3 euros.

For the initiator of this operation, it is already time to prepare for 2019, and “a major day dedicated to disabled children on the Le Mans circuit, with the ACO. » For Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest “this day brings as much pleasure to the children as to its organizers.
