Wright Motorsports will not be in Bowmanville

Wright Motorsports will not make the trip to Canada this weekend for the eighth round of theIMSA, planned at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville. Canada requires international travelers to receive at least two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to enter the country. Driver Ryan Hardwick and other members of the Ohio-based team are not vaccinated and therefore cannot cross the border to participate in the event.

“Unfortunately, our team will not participate in the next sprint race in Canada, at CTMP (Canadian Tire Motorsport Park), Hardwick said. Several members of our team, including myself, are unvaccinated, meaning we cannot travel to Canada due to their current Covid vaccination policy. At the start of the season, I was hoping that Canada would drop its vaccination requirements before our race there, but unfortunately that didn't happen. Although I am disappointed that we will not be able to participate in this event, I stand by my personal health decisions and those of my teammates. »
