Disillusionment for Max Verstappen (Red Bull) in Austria. The Dutchman, then second in the Austrian Grand Prix behind the leader Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes), was forced to retire after less than fifteen rounds.
Verstappen saw his RB16 – Honda cease all normal operation just after the first corner, the driver managing to return to the pits at low speed, before dismounting despite a change of steering wheel. No three passes on the Red Bull Ring for the Dutchman in 2020.
