Alexander albon gave a little surprise to his fans on social networks. The Thai has published photos of the special helmet which was planned for the Italian Grand Prix, at Monza, last September. The pilot Williams had to withdraw on Saturday, suffering an attack of appendicitis and respiratory complications on the evening of the operation.

Never worn or displayed to the public, the special Italy helmet was intended to pay tribute to Valentino Rossi, one of Alexander Albon's childhood idols. It was to take the emblematic design of "The Doctor" helmet worn during the Grand Prix at Mugello in 2008. With a dominant orange, the head of a screaming Alex Albon was to display the helmet as well as the n °46 of the legend of MotoGP.

Coincidence, Daniel Ricciardo had worn the same style of helmet at the Italian Grand Prix this season, also featuring his own head on top of the helmet! A pure coincidence since the two drivers do not have the same designer.
