Belgium-Q2: The Renaults pass the milestone

In 1'42″927, a new track record, Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) dominated the second part of the qualification in Belgium. Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) climbs into second position, 322 thousandths ahead of Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari), Max Verstappen (Red Bull), Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) and Daniel Ricciardo (Redbull).

Jolyon Palmer (Renault), Sergio Pérez (Force India), Nico Hulkenberg (Renault) and Esteban Ocon (Force India) also climb into Q3. Fernando Alonso (McLaren) failed in 11th position, after the Woking team tried to give the Spaniard the benefit of Stoffel Vandoorne's aspiration. The double world champion also did not hide his anger on his radio, indicating that he had no power.

Also eliminated after Q2, both Haas de Grosjean et Magnussen, Carlos Sainz (Toro Rosso) and Stoffel Vandoorne.
