Bernie Ecclestone has virulently denounced the lack of sportsmanship which reigns between the teams of F1. The constant desire to try to bring back the cover to oneself seems to have annoyed the big financier of F1, who did not fail to share his point of view. “ They (the teams) should think about the global interest instead of only worrying about their own business, without caring about others. The good things about F1 benefit everyone involved, teams and companies alike. Too many people only think about what is good for them. It's the same thing with the rules: they only think about what can help them win. »

But Bernie Ecclestone does not stop there. “ This is not about self-esteem but about stupidity. All teams are very competitive and want to win, which I completely support, but they need to win the battle on a level playing field instead of looking to gain a big advantage over others. Many of them want to have a more powerful engine than others, but this is not the right method. »
